Baking Tips
To ensure your rolls come out fluffy, golden, and delicious every time, here are a few helpful baking tips:
- Don’t overmix the dough. Mix until just combined to avoid tough rolls.
- Let the dough rest for 5-10 minutes before cutting and shaping- This ensures the gluten develops even further and is easier to work with.
- Lightly flour your surface and hands when shaping the dough – it’s a sticky dough but that’s normal!
- Pre-cook the bacon until crispy. This ensures it’s not chewy and gives that classic savoury flavour.
- Bake on a lined tray with space between rolls for even browning.
