Ingredients for Sugar Free Sour Gummies
For one serve (one flavour):
- 1 packet sugar free jelly
- 8g powdered gelatine
- 1/2-1 tsp citric acid
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1 tbsp room temp water
How to make Sugar Free Sour Gummies
1. Bloom the gelatine & packet of jelly lite by adding to a bowl and adding 1 tsp room temp water- leave for 5 minutes to let the gelatine activate
2. Add 1/2 cup boiling water- a little bit at a time and stir well. if there are any clumps continue to stir until they are gone (if the clumps are too hard to mix, add the mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds! It does the job)
3. Add 1/2 tsp -1 tsp citric acid (depending how sour you like it) and stir well
4. Add to your moulds of choice or if you do not have any, add the mixture to a rectangular Tupperware of choice (lay some baking paper down first so they don’t stick)
5. refrigerate for minimum 1 hour
6. pop out of the moulds or cut into jelly snakes if using the Tupperware

How to store the Sugar Free Sour Gummies?
These gummies stay fresh for up to a week in the fridge in an airtight container.
I only recommend refrigerating these gummies. They will melt and go bad if left out.

What sugar free jelly do you recommend?
My go to is Jelly Lite, I always use 3-4 different flavours at one time to make a whole batch of gummies.
Why is there so much protein?
Gelatine is super high protein, it has 6g in 7g powder (around 1.5 tsp)
In this recipe I use 8g gelatine powder so it is 6.9g protein. Combined with the whole packet of sugar free jelly which has a total of 12g protein per packet, the whole serve then comes to just under 19g protein.

- 8 grams powdered gelatine
- 1/2-1 tsp citric acid optional
- 1 tbsp water room temp
- 1/2 cup boiling water
